Playing: Court Etiquette
In order that all members and bona-fide guests (e.g. visiting tennis teams) can enjoy their tennis experience at Hampton-In-Arden Tennis Club, a certain amount of rules and guidelines are necessary, particularly around the court areas.
Any member may book a vacant court slot by filling in the court booking diary held behind the bar at the Hampton-In-Arden
Sports Club clubhouse. The following basic rules should be observed:
- - Courts may only be booked a maximum of two weeks in advance
- - Courts may only be booked for a maximum of 2-hours at a time
- - Court number 1 may also be available for bookings during Coventry League matches
- - Any disputes should be referred to a committee member
If courts are required for the completion of unfinished league matches in order to comply with league rules, team captains may override previously made court bookings, although they are asked to be sensitive to other members when doing so.
Bookings that are required for league and tournament matches or official function days may be booked by any Committee member without requirement to abide by the above rules.
